Porcelain buttons, round button design, our rutile blue glaze, handmade pottery button, shank back ceramic button. Clay buttons. 1 button
Each of these designs are individually handmade in the same way we make our pottery with porcelain clay and our own formulated glazes. It has been some time since I made these buttons for a custom textile project. This small batch of buttons have been in storage. They will make a great addition to your sewing project. Inspired by antique buttons and given new life in stunning custom glazes that are fired in our gas kiln in a reduction atmosphere to a high temperature of over 2400 degrees. It is the combination of the carved relief surface of each design and our glaze formulations that melt and pool and break over the image that gives each spectacular piece it’s unique finish. After they are high fired they are sorted and made into earrings, pendants, bracelets and jewelry and Buttons for sewing and embellishments to many different craft types of all kinds.
